In the technical data a current carrying capacity is shown, with which no thermal damage and no disturbance of the function arise under consideration of the rated cross section and the ambient temperature. testing currents according to DIN EN 60998-1 (VDE 0613 part of 1) are assigned to the rated cross sections in table T2. With the testing currents the heating up of energized parts of the connecting point may not exceed 45 K. The permitted carrying capacity not only depends on the terminal construction, but also on the use of the terminal. The appropriate technical regulations for devices, e.g. DIN EN 60335-1 (VDE 0700-1) should be taken into consideration.
