Sensation at WECO! With the series 110-M for the real SMT, Surface Mount Technology, we proudly present the world's first: "Floating Pins", which is unique in the range of 3.5 mm pitch and guarantees an optimal retention force on the circuit board. Such a product has never existed before! Our new pin strips of the series 110-M in SMD close this gap.
The highlight of this new generation is the type 110-M-226-SMD. The pins are movable in vertical direction in order to achieve a 100% co-planarity on the board. In addition, the 110-M-226-SMD shows our second innovation: The Floating Anchors. These are also movable in vertical direction and adapt perfectly to small differences in height. These lateral flanges improve the stability and increase the extraction forces of the pin strip effectively. The body of high temperature resistant polyamide is ideal to be used in the reflow soldering process with its higher soldering temperatures. The product is designed for the application in automated assembly process and thus available in tape-on-reel. The pin strips are fitted with high temperature resistant pick disks which can easily be removed after the soldering process. This product is available in version 110-M-221-SMD for the assembly in space restricted applications without the lateral flanges. In addition to the SMD product range, both types are available as THR versions. Like all other pin strips of series 110, these two brand new types are compatible to screw-, clamp- and IDC technology.
